When Ford is at his best, his speed off the edge creates gaps in the offensive line that teammates, especially Arik Armstead, can exploit. One of the 49ers’ biggest offseason priorities, however, ought to be finding a pure edge rusher opposite Nick Bosa, and Hall doesn’t quite fit that description.

Nijman has impressed in spot starts and mid-game fill-ins at left tackle this season, perhaps enough to earn a permanent starting spot next season if the Packers want to free up cap space. The Packers face cap hell next year, and cutting Turner would free up $3.18 million, according to Over the Cap. at left guard (since Elgton Jenkins will still be rehabbing his torn ACL), Myers at center, Newman at right guard and Yosh Nijman or Billy Turner at right tackle. The likely starting offensive line in 2022, at least in Week 1, will be David Bakhtiari at left tackle, Runyan Jr.
Myers is currently on injured reserve after starting five games at center, Newman is starting at right guard and Van Lanen is on the practice squad. In 2021, they drafted Josh Myers in the second round, Royce Newman in the fourth and Cole Van Lanen in the sixth. Runyan is starting, Hanson is a reserve on the 53-man roster and Stepaniak retired during training camp. In 2020, they picked Jon Runyan Jr., Jake Hanson and Simon Stepaniak - three interior linemen - in the sixth round. Kinnard is an interesting prediction since the Packers have drafted three linemen in each of the last two drafts. Dane Brugler forecasts the Packers taking Kentucky offensive tackle/guard Darian Kinnard with the 30th pick.
